323-year old Islamic seminary school with a large number of martyrs

The Salhiya Islamic seminary in Kazerun, 323 years have passed since its construction. According to statistics, in the year 1360, less than 200 students attended the school, of which 25 were martyred.

The Center of Mosque Studies - The Salhiya Kazerun Islamic seminary, in Kazerun was founded in 1117 (AH) under the direction of the then ruler of the city of Khajeh Hesameddin, and now more than 320 years have passed since its construction.

The school was destroyed at some point, but with the help of the late Ayatullah Asadullah Imani, the Friday prayer leader of Kazerun was rebuilt with the help of the philanthropists in 1367, and since then, a thousand students have been raised there for different positions like the Friday prayer leadership, judges, propagation, ideology of the armed forces, and etc. which they serve the system and revolution.

 

 

According to statistics, in the year 1360, less than 200 students were enrolled in this school of which 25 were martyred in holy defense war.

Hujjat al-Islam Sahrai, the director of seminary, in an interview with Hawzah correspondent says: "From the very beginning, the establishment of the school has had many endowments."

Director of The Salhiya Kazerun seminary, expressing that so far, 4,000 Waqf letters have been identified and determined for school, added: "There is a letter of devotion made by a Scholar for our school, and in this letter, the various educational issues of the Islamic students, like the way of arrangements and the cost of the endowments for school administration are considered.”

 

 

Hujjat al-Islam Sahrai continued: "Before the revolution, the Salhiyah seminary school was closed for some time due to the ruin, and the students were educated at another building called Al-Zahra school, and returned to the school after a rebuilding."

 

 

The school was renovated in an area of more than 2000 meters and with an infrastructure of more than 4,000 meters in three floors including a library, prayer room, guest house, 60 rooms for residences, kitchen, dining hall and meeting hall.
