The Center of Mosque Studies - The book of Nahjul Balagha is, in a sense, a dictionary of Islamic concepts. Nahjul Balagha is so dear to us; and it is so far from our reach! Our people have only heard the name of Nahjul Balagha. They don't know at all that it is a book of practice. Nahjul Balagha is indeed a pragmatic book, which presents Islam. Also, tell the enemies of Islam, from my part, tell those who continuously criticize Islam, who repeatedly rebuke Islam, those who indulge in attacking Islam on every occasion, tell them from my part, you, who belong to new generations of intellectuals, tell them if they want to reject Islam, they should first read through Nahjul Balagha, just once. Anyone who has not read Nahjul Balagha and does not thoroughly know the Quran, has no right to reject Islam. Well, they can if they want, but they do it in an ignorant manner. No wise, no knowledgeable person would accept this.

It is necessary to read and learn from Nahjul Balaghah. Recently, many non-Muslim intellectuals have become familiar with Nahjul Balaghah. They have read the words of the Commander of the Faithful (a.s.). They have learned from the manifestations of wisdom in his words, and they have been astonished by the greatness of the Commander of the Faithful (a.s.) and his words. We should pay close attention to Nahjul Balaghah. We should learn more from its teachings. We should benefit more from Imam Ali's (a.s.) sea of wisdom. Nahjul Balaghah clarified all aspects and provides us with all the lessons that we need. Sunni scholars have made surprising comments about Nahjul Balaghah. The Commander of the Faithful (a.s.) does not just belong to Shia Muslims. He is a role model for all Muslims and all those who love Islam see Ali ibn Abi Talib (a.s.) at the peak of scholarly, spiritual, moral, human and divine greatness.

Having genuine faith; laying down one's life for jihad; immersing oneself in divine commands,; obeying God's commands and worshiping Him in an absolute way; showing indifference to material pleasures; showing mercy and justice to all people; adopting an affectionate and kind outlook towards the oppressed and the weak; showing resistance and determination in the face of the enemies of religion; following one's responsibilities in all circumstances, despite all difficulties and hardships, are wise words and characteristics that all human beings — whether those who lived in the past, those who live in the present time, or those who will live in the future — need.
The Commander of the Faithful's (peace and greetings be upon him) Nahjul Balaghah is a lesson for all of humanity. This is only the outward aspect of the Commander of the Faithful's (peace and greetings be upon him) personality. Our short-sighted eyes can only see this aspect of his personality. His spiritual, holy, and heavenly aspect is particular to saints and sidiqqin. It is they who can see this aspect of him. Our eyes do not have the ability to understand this aspect— the way God's saints and close servants do. Today is the birth anniversary of such a personality, which is, of course, an Eid.
