Qur'an on the silicon chip with Nanotechnology and calligraphy of Baqarah Surah on un-carved stone, as two unique Qur'anic works, are in public display at the Treasury of Supreme Leaders' Gifts of Astan Quds Razavi's Museum.

The Center of Mosque Studies - Qur'an on the silicon chip with Nanotechnology and calligraphy of Baqarah Surah on un-carved stone, as two unique Qur'anic works, are in public display at the Treasury of Supreme Leaders' Gifts of Astan Quds Razavi's Museum.

The responsible of Qur'an and Exquisite Museum of Astan Quds Razavi's Museums Assistance introduced the holy Qur'an on silicon chip as the smallest complete Qur'an of the center and said, “Taking the advantage of Nanotechnology, all the Qur'anic verses have been engraved on silicon chips by the domestic experts. The size of this work is 18 × 10 mm.”

Muhammad Reza Saqi said, “In another exquisite piece of work, the first and the second parts of the holy Qur'an have been written on an un-carved stone. The type of writing is Naskh and its length, width, and thickness are 35, 6 to 19, and 5.5 cm respectively.”

Saying that reading these verses with the naked eye is very difficult, he added, “This work was produced by Seyyed Hussein Pourrazavi in Dey, 1389/ January, 2011 and was offered to the Supreme Leader in Khordad, 1390/ June, 2011.”

Saqi went on, “Very exquisite Qur'ans are kept by the Qur'an and Exquisite Museum of Astan Quds Razavi. Many of these holy Qur'ans have been presented by the Supreme Leader between 1373 and 1395/ 1994 and 2016.These Qur'ans have been offered to the Leader by the leaders of the foreign countries, domestic and foreign prominent figures, and artists and his devotees. Some of these works of art have been put into public display at the Treasury of the Supreme Leader's Gifts.”

It is reminded that the Treasury of Supreme Leader's Gifts is located in the ground floor of the Qur'an and Exquisites Museum at Kousar Courtyard. The museum can be visited by both Iranian and non-Iranian people from Saturday to Wednesday since 8 to 12:30. It can also be visited on Thursdays since 8 to 11:30 and on holidays since 8 to 12.
