Thousands of Palestinians managed to perform Friday prayers in al-Aqsa Mosque despite the Israeli tight restrictions throughout the occupied city of Jerusalem.

Tens of thousands of worshipers from occupied Jerusalem, West Bank, Gaza Strip, and within the Green Line managed to reach the Mosque and to attend the Friday prayer there, Quds Press said.

Earlier Friday, Israeli police forces and border guards were deployed in large numbers throughout the occupied city amid tight restrictions on people’s movement.

During the Friday Khutba (sermon), the Palestinian Mufti Sheikh Mohamed Hussein called for intensifying the Palestinian presence in the holy shrine on daily basis in order to confront Israeli Judaization schemes.

He pointed to the Israeli escalated settlement construction in the occupied city, calling for supporting Palestinian adherence to their lands.

Sheikh Hussein further charged the Israeli occupation forces with executing dozens of Palestinian youths under flimsy pretexts.
